Above and beyond cuisine, which we won’t judge here, this film shows yet again how cutting edge Spanish chefs are in terms of marketing, especially if we compare it to Alain Ducasse’s latest film (stunning on all fronts) for the reopening of his amazing new restaurant at the Plaza Athénée in Paris. How can we fail to be impressed by this short film where Pingus and Château Margaux wines are served in a rather unlikely atmosphere? Unlikely, really? Truly unlikely because it breaks with all the rules of the rich hush that prevails in 3-star restaurants. Could it be that aesthetics doesn’t carry the same meaning for a great chef in France and in Spain? Okay, it’s too complicated, too many ideas, quite trashy. But it does make you think!
