One of his first theatre costume for the ballets of Christian Petit was a black pullover for Zizi Jeanmaire, full of feathers, and it was called Champagne Rosé. What is really interesting when speaking about Yves St Laurent and Champagne is that, in 1993, he launched his own perfume called Champagne. The stopper had the shape of a champagne bottle’s cork. Later he had to change the name for Yvresse but he always kept this champagne bottle’s cork…”
